Founded in 1959 Child Help's mission is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of abused and neglected children. Child Help Founders, Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, were nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for their work.

Child Help is dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect. Their approach focuses on prevention, intervention and treatment. The Child Help National Child Abuse Hotline, operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and receives calls from throughout the U. S., Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Child Help's programs and services also include residential treatment; children's advocacy centers; therapeutic foster care; group homes; child abuse prevention, education and training; and the National Day of Hope. For every dollar donated ninety cents goes directly to programs benefiting abused children.
